OPEN DAY – Saturday 29th July 2017

Our next open day is nearly upon us – come along to see what we’re up to, ask us questions, discuss the plans, join us as a volunteer, have walk around (guided), see the fossil forest up close, go around the site in a landcover, see (and have a go on) the narrow gauge railway, buy a raffle ticket, have a cuppa….etc. etc. 😉

We’ve been awarded just under £2m by the BIG Lottery to re-use a whole range of ex-industrial landscapes around Brymbo. We’re getting ready to start the ‘Roots to Shoots’ project with our new team, and on Wednesday 19th July at 7pm we’re going to go and explore an old railway bridge from 1885 in the landscape above the village of Lodge.

Come along and join us at this open event for 2 hours, starting at the old works – we’ll walk over to the bridge as a group and chat as we go about the way this lottery-funded project can work. The weather forecast isn’t looking great so bring a waterproof and walking boots 🙂
