2017 is shaping up to be our busiest year yet – lots of events and big moves forward in terms of funding bids for the long term restoration of the Heritage Area.
Two events in July for us:
Wednesday 19th July 7pm – a walk from the old works over towards Lodge to scope the restoration of the former railway bridge that looks as if it’s been buried in the hillside. Part of our £2m ‘Roots to Shoots’ project funded 2017 to 2024 by the BIG Lottery’s Create Your Space programme. It’s all about us working to together to save, celebrate and re-use our ex-industrial spaces.
Saturday 29th July – 10am – our next open day, featuring a guided walk around the fossil forest as a new element, plus all the usual industrial heritage tours, 4x4s, narrow gauge railway rides, talks, displays, refreshments and bric-a-brac.
Sunday mornings continue to be our most popular volunteering sessions – drop in between 10am and 1pm to see what it’s all about, or give Liz a ring on 0800 772 0981 (option 2).
Brymbo Rocks is back again – 23rd September this time. Twice as much to do!
We have our car club running on the last Saturday of each month too – check out our Facebook page ‘Brymbo Heritage Car Club’ – it’s not just for old cars either.
For anything else contact Gary or Liz on 0800 772 0981 or send us an email.
